Is it my duty to warn others about COVID-19 cases?
As we enter into these unprecedented times within our healthcare community, the duty to protect patient privacy remains the same. It is imperative that we continue to follow all HIPAA guidelines, with no exceptions. While it may be tempting to discuss a case of COVID-19 with your family, friends, or co-workers, these patients have a right to privacy that we must uphold even during these challenging times.
What should I do if I believe I’ve contracted COVID-19?
If you start to exhibit the symptoms of COVID-19 or are diagnosed with COVID-19, please contact your recruiter. You can also call 866.288.8001.
Symptoms of the COVID-19 include:
- Dry cough
- Fever
- Shortness of breath
According to the CDC, if you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19, get medical attention immediately. Emergency warning signs include:

- New confusion or inability to arouse
- Bluish lips or face
